Uteke Cloud and built-in AI memory
Many AI apps now remember things about you. That memory lives inside the app that offers it. Uteke Cloud is one memory outside any single app, shared by every agent you connect.
Side by side
| Topic | Memory built into an AI app | Uteke Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Which agents can use it | The apps of the vendor that offers it. | Any agent that speaks MCP or HTTP, from any vendor, all sharing one memory. |
| When you switch agents or models | The memory stays with the old app. | Connect the new agent to the same URL; it recalls what the others saved. |
| Seeing and editing | In that app, as far as the vendor allows. | List, read, correct and delete any memory through your agent or the API. |
| Taking it with you | Depends on the vendor. | Export everything as NDJSON at any time, and run the same engine yourself with open-source Uteke. |
| Who wrote a memory | Depends on the vendor. | Each memory records the agent that wrote it, when, and from where. |
| Recall | Depends on the vendor. | Search, not a model: no AI reads your memories when they are recalled. |
Use both
You do not have to turn built-in memory off. Keep it for things that only matter inside one app, and let your agents save what should follow you everywhere to Uteke. When you change tools, the second part comes with you.
Try it
Uteke Cloud is free in open beta, with no card: 500 memories and 150 recalls a day. Connect your agent with one URL and a CodeCora ID, or read how we keep your data safe on the security page.
